COMMUNITY
We’ve always been very involved in our community. Jeremy Martinez was the president of the local chamber of commerce 2 years in a row. Bromar is a member of 5 different local chambers of commerce, as well as the local Main Street program. Jeremy is also a member of the Rotary Club. We do what we can to help in these and many other areas, donating time and printing whenever we can.

As an owner's wife I have had the privilege to learn most aspects of the printing business. In the lean years I've had to fill in wherever needed (and usually as a volunteer!) In more recent years I work primarily in the office taking care of bills and billing, taxes and payroll, and answering phones. I've watched my children grow up in the business where they've been able to learn good, strong with ethics and develop their people skills. Now my grandchildren are often here sleeping in a corner office or walking around jibbering with the customers. I hope that Bromar Printing will be around when that generation is grown so they can continue printing for Skowhegan and the surrounding towns. Many Thanks to all our customers!

Malachi has moved on to become a missionary with Adventures Relief, and is helping rebuild homes that were destroyed by floods and other natural disasters. He's served in Ft. Meyers, FL, and is currently located in North Carolina, but is also helping support relief effort in Jamaca.

Bromar Printing -- Making History for Years
The birthdate of our printing company traces its roots back to 1925 when J. Ernest Dionne and Henry Lewia began Skowhegan Press, Inc. originally located in downtown Skowhegan. The ownership of that printing business changed hands several times over the next 75 or so years and the location changed once to Water Street which is where it is today.
In 2001, Skowhegan Press was bought by Bromar Inc. a partnership of Jerry Breault and Jeremy Martinez, two entrepreneurs who quickly learned to master the mechanics of the printing business and add zip and capabilities to their own shop with upgrades to the latest technology. They replaced the company’s offset presses with more modern presses and adding digital direct-to-plate printing systems. They were also pioneers of the digital printing era and were among the first to introduce high-quality, full-color digital printing in Maine.
With a constant eye on improvement of printing quality, speed, capabilities and attention to service, growth of Bromar was inevitable and spurred over the next 16 years by the purchase of four different printing companies. In each instance, Bromar incorporated new equipment and often the employees of the purchased company who were happy to remain onboard and lend their expertise.
Each time Bromar has expanded, more highly capable and service-oriented people have been needed and that was definitely the case when Bromar purchased a building at 17 Parlin St., Skowhegan in 2009 , greatly expanding its operating space. Yet another expansion occurred recently with the purchase of a second building at 25 Parlin Street. This is a 4500 square foot facility, and houses all our screen printing, embroidery, wide format and engraving equipment. The facility also boasts a 30'x 50' heated bay for lettering & wrapping vehicles. All this extra space has proved absolutely necessary to the continuing growth of the company, which can now accommodate tractor trailer deliveries, palletized paper orders and every print need under the sun.
We’ve also been able to add staff, new equipment and we even have a new name and logo to reflect our rebranding in 2016 as Bromar Printing Solutions. Stop by and we’ll be happy to give you a tour. If you aren’t sure where we are, click on the location page.
